Notes To Supporters

The Second 150

Hello everyone; and welcome to those who've just joined the Who Cares? Movement. We are now approaching 300 supporters, which, to be honest, far exceeds what Nick and I thought would happen when we started this particular ball rolling back in April. It's very reassuring that there are so many who care about the ad business.

Our workstream leaders are now fully 'staffed' (as it were) and are deep in preparation for the September 12th Summit launch event. Michael Farmer, Jenny Biggam, Denise Turner, Crispin Reed and Ruben Schreurs are all putting a huge amount into this and judging from what we've seen and heard to date their sessions in September are going to be creative, insightful and positive.

Meantime we have new speakers to announce. We've always wanted to feature a brand case study, highlighting the positive impact that a creative approach to all aspects of a communications campaign can have on a business. We're delighted to say that our featured case study will be for Starling Bank, and will feature creative agency Wonderhood Studios' Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer Jessica Lovell, and media agency Electric Glue's CEO Pippa Glucklich, who will share their thoughts on creativity across disciplines.

Jess co-founded Wonderhood Studios 6 years ago. A planner by background, her experience includes spells at St Lukes before 11 years at Mother as Strategy Director, followed by a spell as Executive Strategy Director at adam&eveDDB.

Pippa joined Electric Glue in June 2021 after a career including positions at media agencies BLM, Arena, Starcom and Amplifi. She is a past President of WACL (the Women in Advertising and Communications, Leadership organisation), and a trustee of both the advertising charity NABS and the mental health charity MIND.

We are delighted to have attracted speakers of such seniority and quality, and to feature a case study very much 'of today'.

We are now securing our final two speakers for the closing session. We will announce them tomorrow, then on Thursday we'll recap the full agenda with all speakers and timings.

Ticket sales are very healthy; we have a limited number to sell and they're going fast. As we add speakers, and announce them on social media, sales spike, and so if you would like to attend now would be a very good time to secure your ticket. You can buy them from our site: www.advertisingwhocares.org

Meantime do keep spreading the word and if you would like to attend do secure your ticket.

All the best.
